If your organization produces e-waste every week rather than in one big clear-out, an e-waste container at your site is the practical answer. WMG Waste eRecycling places a container on your premises, your staff fill it as old equipment comes free, and we collect it when it is full. The contents are then tracked, processed and reported like any other collection.
When does an on-site container make more sense than separate pickups?
A container works well where devices trickle in steadily: IT departments with rolling replacements, schools and campuses, warehouses and repair workshops, or large offices where broken peripherals and old phones turn up every few days. Instead of storing equipment in corridors and booking a collection each time, there is one fixed place for it. That keeps storerooms clear and stops devices from drifting into general waste.
How does the container service work?
- Agree the setup. You tell us what kind of equipment you expect and roughly how fast it builds up. We reply to quote requests within 24 hours, and the container type and terms are agreed in the quote.
- Placement. We deliver the container to an agreed spot on your site.
- Filling. Your team adds equipment over time. Keep loose batteries separate with their terminals taped, and keep liquids and general waste out.
- Collection. When the container is full, you let us know and we collect it. You receive an itemized receipt.
- Processing. Items are tracked from collection to final processing. Data-bearing devices are wiped with NIST 800-88 compliant methods or physically destroyed, usable equipment is refurbished and resold with proceeds returned to you, and the rest goes to WEEELABEX certified recycling.
What can go in the container?
Computers, laptops, monitors, printers, networking equipment, phones, tablets, keyboards, mice, cables and other IT peripherals. If sensitive devices such as laptops or drives go in, they are logged by serial number once collected and you receive a certificate of data destruction for each one. Large household appliances like fridges and washing machines follow a separate route, so ask us about those in advance.
How does this fit a wider recycling program?
For many businesses the container becomes part of a structured approach to e-waste, alongside scheduled pickups for larger clear-outs. Read about our corporate recycling programs or compare with a one-off ICT collection service. Whichever you choose, every batch ends with a recycling report that supports your WEEE records.
