IT teams rarely retire one kind of hardware at a time. WMG Waste eRecycling takes care of IT equipment and servers for businesses as one disposal project: desktops, laptops, servers, storage, switches, routers, firewalls and peripherals. We collect the lot, secure all data, resell what has value and recycle the rest through WEEELABEX certified recycling.
Why use one partner for your whole IT estate?
A typical refresh or office move frees up a mixed load: user devices, a server room, network cabinets and boxes of accessories. Splitting that across several suppliers means several pickups, several sets of paperwork and gaps in the audit trail. With one partner, every item appears on the same receipt, follows the same tracking and ends up in the same report.
What risks hide in networking hardware?
Servers and laptops get attention because of their drives, but network equipment carries risk too. Switches, routers and firewalls store configuration files that can include passwords, VPN keys, IP address plans and firewall rules. That information can help an attacker map your network. Before collection, reset devices to factory settings where you can, and let us know which units still hold configurations. Devices with storage media are handled as data-bearing equipment, with certificates to match.
How does WMG process business IT equipment?
- Quote. Share an inventory or a rough description. We reply within 24 hours.
- Pickup. Free for most standard corporate collections in the Netherlands, scheduled within 3 to 5 business days, or within 24 to 48 hours for urgent jobs depending on location. For businesses in Belgium and Germany, collection is arranged per quote.
- Chain of custody. You receive an itemized receipt, and each item is logged by serial number and tracked until final processing.
- Data security. Drives are wiped with NIST 800-88 compliant methods or shredded and crushed, on-site or off-site.
- Value and recycling. Usable hardware is refurbished and resold, with proceeds returned to you. The remainder goes to WEEELABEX certified recycling, recovering up to 95% of materials.
Planning a server room exit? Our server recycling page covers racks, storage and data center decommissions in more depth. For the full process from inventory to report, see our IT asset disposition service.
What does your IT department receive?
An itemized receipt at collection, a certificate of data destruction for every data-bearing device logged by serial number, and a recycling report after processing. Those documents support both GDPR and WEEE compliance audits, and the resale proceeds can offset part of the cost of your next hardware purchase.
